Chelan Busted Mugshots

Arrest records in Chelan live in more than one place. The city has no police department of its own, so deputies answer calls under a sheriff contract. Adults who are booked into jail enter the regional system in Wenatchee. So a photo, a deputy's report, and a roster entry may each rest with a different office. That split is the whole puzzle. There is no city mugshot gallery to check. Start by asking which record exists at all: a current roster line, a deputy report, or a city file. From there, the right custodian becomes clear.

How Chelan Arrests Work

Chelan is a small city, with a population the Washington Office of Financial Management estimated at 4,630 on April 1, 2025. Policing runs through a contract with the Chelan County Sheriff's Office rather than a municipal force. City planning materials lay out that public-safety contract and the City's reliance on regional jail services. The correct agency label matters. It is the Chelan County Sheriff's Office, Chelan contract service, or the Chelan SubStation. Getting the name right points you to the custodian of a deputy report.

Anyone booked into adult custody from Chelan goes to the Chelan County Regional Justice Center in Wenatchee. CCRJC holds contracts with Chelan and several other cities. An arrest can happen in one town and custody can sit in another. That is why the CCRJC Jail Registry is the first official stop for a custody check. It is not a Chelan-only list, and it does not track case outcomes. A deputy report, a booking record, and a court file may each sit with a separate office.

Where Chelan Busted Mugshots Appear

The city posts no daily arrest log. There is no booking-photo gallery either. Washington opens its jail register to the public. Booking photographs stay confidential under RCW 70.48.100. The official path therefore runs through a custody registry and records requests, not a photo feed. Start with the official rows listed below. News stories and old indexes can flag a reported event, yet they cannot confirm current custody or a full record.

Channel Public photo? Status and access
CCRJC Jail Registry No public photo field Official current adult-custody roster. Search a first or last name, then inspect the booking and offense detail for a matching entry.
Sheriff Records and CCRJC records No public-photo promise Official custodians for a contract-deputy report or identified booking/custody record. Disclosure remains subject to the applicable law.
City of Chelan JustFOIA Not a booking-photo source Official path for City-held administrative records. It is separate from Sheriff law-enforcement and CCRJC custody records.
Chelan County Sheriff news Images vary Official dated releases, not a rolling list of new bookings or a Chelan arrest log.
Lake Chelan Mirror and KPQ Varies by story Secondary, selective local reporting. Use a story to identify an agency or date, then return to the official record path.
Mugshots.com Chelan County index Not an official source Unofficial historical index with reviewed arrest-date buckets ending in 2015. It is not a current-custody, complete-arrest, or outcome source.

A missing city bulletin does not make a third-party result official. The CCRJC registry carries no photo field at all. The County has never published a city booking feed. Given that narrow publishing model, a records request plus a court check often beats hunting for a picture.

Note: An official record can confirm a custody event while offering no public booking photo or final court outcome.

Busted in Chelan: Booking Lookup

Ask the custody question first, not the photo question. The CCRJC list lets you search by first and last name. Each visible row lists an ID, name, age, birth date, and a VINE notification control. Expand a match for more detail. You get the booking date, booking number, offense statute and description or case reference, and agency. The registry covers only people in adult custody right now.

  1. Search the CCRJC registry using the person’s first or last name, then compare the name, age, and birth date before treating an entry as a match.
  2. Open a matching entry to distinguish the booking date, booking number, agency, and listed offense detail. Those fields describe the booking record, not a final court outcome.
  3. Use the entry’s VINE option only for custody-status notifications. No official Chelan County sheriff or jail lookup app was identified for photos or historic booking searches.
  4. If there is no current entry, identify whether the needed item is a contract-deputy report, a CCRJC custody record, or a City-held file, then contact that custodian. The Chelan County custody and records overview provides the county-wide paths.

A new booking may reach the registry once processing finishes, but CCRJC promises no posting timeline. Someone cited and released, transferred, released, or never admitted to adult jail may not show up. No official same-day or historic Chelan booking feed exists either.

Chelan Contract-Service Records

The contract-service setup splits records three ways. A report written by a Chelan contract deputy sits with Sheriff Records. Booking and current-custody questions go to CCRJC. City administrative files run through the City's JustFOIA channel. All three may describe the same event, but the City route is neither the Sheriff's law-enforcement system nor the jail's booking system.

When you ask Sheriff Records for a deputy report, include the incident date, location, the person's name, and an incident number if you have one. A plain description of what you want helps too. Requests can go through an online portal, a form, mail, the counter, email, fax, or phone. Standard charges run $0.15 per paper page, $0.10 per scan, $0.05 per electronic file or attachment, and $0.10 per gigabyte sent electronically. There is no published flat fee for booking photos. Paying a fee never forces release of a restricted item.

City-held material goes through JustFOIA. Name the specific City record in the request. Chelan's 2026 fee schedule follows standard state copy rates and allows a possible deposit. Booking and custody records belong with CCRJC instead. State law gives the county five business days for an initial response, which may cover access and cost but cannot unlock restricted material.

Chelan Busted-Custody Timing

CCRJC holds adults. Its public registry answers one question: who is in custody right now. The page stamps an "as of" time. Beyond that, it promises little. There is no published update interval, no retention window, and no archive of people already released. The wording can point to the last 24 hours even while a record still shows an earlier booking date. Treat it as a current roster, not a log of everyone busted in the past day.

Roster result What it means
Matching current entry CCRJC currently lists that adult in custody and supplies the fields shown in the record.
No matching entry It does not establish that no arrest occurred, or that a charge was dismissed, because the person may not be in current adult custody.
Entry disappears later It means only that the public roster no longer lists the person as currently residing there. It does not state a release reason or final case result.

VINE is the alert system tied to a custody roster entry. It tells you when an inmate's status changes. It does not show booking photos, archive every arrest, or track court dates. Think of it as a notification tool, nothing more. Once custody shifts on a case, the court record becomes the reliable source, and a roster status alone won't tell you where things stand.

Note: A missing registry row can reflect a release, transfer, citation, or no adult jail admission; it does not resolve the underlying case.

Chelan News and Busted Stories

Local papers handle Chelan arrests one story at a time. They don't post a running busted roster. The Lake Chelan Mirror has printed Sheriff-submitted public-safety items, including a reported Chelan arrest. KPQ runs dated Chelan stories as well. Deputies get named, and some reports note an adult was booked at CCRJC. That detail helps when you need a date, a spelling, or an agency name pinned down before approaching the right government custodian.

News is secondary, though. It's selective by nature. A story can't confirm current custody or completeness. The old Mugshots.com county index is narrower still: its arrest-date buckets stop at 2015, and many entries say flatly that no photo exists. Call it a historic curiosity, not a recent-arrest source. For the story-to-record sequence and wider outlet context, see Chelan County Crime News.

Chelan Court Records After Booking

Custody records and court records answer different questions once a case is filed. The Washington Courts Name and Case Search is the statewide reference path, updated daily. Chelan County District Court handles the listed limited-jurisdiction criminal matters for Chelan and nearby cities, while superior-court matters run through the separate Odyssey system. Pick the court that actually holds the filed case. Don't infer it from the city name.

A few terms help here. An arraignment is the early hearing where a charge is addressed. A disposition is the later action that resolves it. The Chelan County District Court sits at 350 Orondo Avenue, fourth floor, Wenatchee, WA 98801, and the clerk answers at 509-667-6600. Go to the court record itself rather than relying on a booking description or a news story for the outcome.

The contract-service setup makes this separation matter. The Sheriff substation, Sheriff Records, CCRJC, the City Clerk, and the court can each hold a different layer of information about one reported event. Let the record type and the date guide you to the right office.

Note: A docket entry can change as a case proceeds, so verify the current record with the court.
